FAQ
What is MOPS?
MOPS stands for Mothers of Preschoolers, a program designed to nurture mothers with children from infancy through kindergarten. MOPS recognizes that this is a unique season in life and is foundational in a mother-child relationship, filled with unique needs. The women are of many ages and backgrounds, but share the same desire – to be the best mothers they can be!
When does MOPS meet?
FBCTT MOPS meets the first Thursday of every month (September through May)
How do I get to MOPS?
FBCTT MOPS meets at First Baptist Church of Temple Terrace. The church address is 10002 North 56th St, Temple Terrace, FL 33617.
What should I expect at an FBCTT MOPS meeting?
In just a few words – a fun, refreshing time!
Once you are at the church, park in the lot that is off of Mission Hills Ave. As you approach the door, you will be greeted by a warm and friendly face. There will be plenty of ladies around who will tell you exactly where to take your children (if you need to bring them with you) and where you should go.
Each MOPS meeting begins with dinner and time for socializing. We have insightful speakers on topics relevant to moms in this season of life, followed by a time for small group discussion. In addition, moms can gain a sense of accomplishment and pride by completing a fun craft or participating in a creative activity.
How much does it cost?
Your first meeting of the year is FREE! Cost for FBCTT MOPS is only $4 per meeting! Discounts are available for prepayment ($1 off per meeting). To join MOPS International, there is an annual fee of only $23.95. Along with your membership, you will enjoy the benefits of the MOPS to Mom Connection. Scholarships and payment plans are available! Please don’t let the cost be a deterrent.
Who can attend MOPS?
Mothers who have children newborn through kindergarten and expectant moms.
Is childcare provided?
Yes! Our Children’s Program provides loving care for children newborn through kindergarten. While mothers attend the MOPS meeting, the children enjoy MOPPETS, a program designed to meet their needs. The children are divided into age groups and are involved in planned activities that provide social growth and spiritual enrichment. MOPPETS schedule includes Bible lesson, crafts, music, play time, and dinner. Pizza is provided for the children FREE of charge.
What else does MOPS offer?
Throughout the month, we have a scheduled playdate and Mom’s Night Out. In addition, we have Family Fun Days throughout the year.
